Our company is seeking an experienced and dedicated Machinist/Toolmaker to join our dynamic team.
This exciting role is situated within our high-tech manufacturing floor, where you will have the opportunity to work with state-of-the-art equipment, including CNC machines, grinders, CNC lathes, mills, and toolmaking equipment.
This role is ideal for a skilled machinist who thrives in a fast-paced, innovative environment and is passionate about working with precision tools and machines to create high-quality products.
The successful candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of experience in a similar role and a strong knowledge of CNC operation and programming.
Responsibilities:
Set up and operate a variety of machine tools including CNC machines, grinders, CNC lathes, mills, and other precision tools.
Create, modify, and repair machine parts and tools using precision measuring instruments and equipment.
Review electronic or written blueprints or specifications for a job.
Calculate dimensions or tolerances using instruments such as micrometers or vernier calipers.
Monitor the feed and speed of machines during the machining process.
Maintain a clean and safe workspace, and adhere to job-specific safety protocols.
Collaborate with engineering and design teams to determine effective manufacturing processes.
Perform routine maintenance on equipment and machinery.
Assist in the training of new employees in machine operation and safety procedures.
Qualifications:

years of experience as a Machinist/Toolmaker in a manufacturing environment.
Proficient in the use of CNC machines, grinders, CNC lathes, mills, and other precision tools.
Strong knowledge of the operating principles of the related machinery and equipment.
Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong understanding of quality control principles and procedures.
Proficient in the use of precision measuring instruments.
Ability to lift heavy objects and perform physically demanding tasks.
Good communication and teamwork skills.
Knowledge of safety standards and willingness to use protective gear.
High school diploma or equivalent; completion of vocational training or an apprenticeship will be an asset.
